To start logging to our cloud service just re-configure your Enecsys Gateway to point to monitor.dataservices.solar as shown on the screenshot at the end of this post.
To log on to your Gateway please have a look at the LCD Display on the Gateway. You find there your Gateways IP Number (marked red on the image below). Connect to that IP Number with your web browser.
For example if you see the IP Number 192.168.1.64 then you need to type into your web browser: http://192.168.1.64
You will then be asked for a username and password.
The default username for your Gateway is admin and the default password is password.
After you re-configured your Enecsys Gateway we start logging your data,
After a few minutes you can access data via serialnumber via: http://www.dataservices.solar/SolarWeb/graphs.aspx
Please have also a look at our REST APIs and our WEB GUIs
In case username/password admin/password do not allow you in or your Gateways Web interface looks different you might have a Generation 2 Gateway. In that case please contact us by mail so we send you the detailed instructions.
Please make sure that the Proxy settings are DISABLED. Make sure the check box is NOT ticked!
The Aloaha service has not run properly since I upgraded to a Windows 8 PC. I sent several requests for advice at the time but got no reply.
Although the service is Started it does not collect any data. Are changes required somewhere to make it work?
Please note that we are probably not going to continue our old freeware software since soon we are going to release a complete new solution.
Meanwhile you can configure your Gateway to point to dataservices.solar to our our cloud service.
Try the compatability mode Windows XP for all users and administration mode. It was the solution for Windows 8.1 64 bit.
That worked perfectly. Thanks for that.
From today we also support automatic submission to PVOutput.org. If you want us to enable that for you just let us know the Serial Number of your Gateway.
I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO MAKE THIS WORK FOR ME. I AM LOCATED IN THE ISLAND OF PUERTO RICO USA. MY MONITORING SYSTEMS STARTED PROVIDING INCORRECT INFORMATION LAST WEEK. I READ THAT THERE MAY BE A SOLUTION IN THE WORKS BUT HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO IMPLEMENT IT. CAN YOU HELP ME OUT?
I HAVE A SYSTEM WITH 26 INVERTERS INSTALLED AND UNLESS I AM ABLE TO MONITOR THEM, I WILL NOT KNOW OF ANY FAILURES.
PLEASE GET BACK TO ME WITH SOME KIND OF INSTRUCTIONS AND ADVICE WHAT I CAN EXPECT IN THE FUTURE. THANKS.
I DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO GO OR HOW TO REGISTER MY GATEWAY.
PLEASE HELP
PEPE
Dear Pepe,
thank you very much for your mail. Basically Enecsys went into Administration and we decided to offer an alternative solution. You need to check the IP Number on the display of your Enecsys Gateway and then connect to that IP with your webbrowser. Then configure the gateway to report to 23.102.21.128 and press apply settings.
You find more information on: http://www.dataservices.solar/?p=29
Once you did that your system will start logging. You can check that after some minutes with: http://www.dataservices.solar/SolarWeb/SolarTest.aspx
FORGOT TO MENTION THAT ALL MY COMPUTERS ARE APPLE SO I DO NOT KNOW IF YOUR SOLUTION WILL WORK FOR US.
PEPE
Since it is a cloud solution it does not matter what machines you have.
I am not able to connect to the Enecsys Gateway. Username – admin and password – password do not work and I am not able to log into the Gateway. Any idea how I may do it? Once I am able I will connect to your cloud.
Hi,
in that case your installer had changed it. Not the nicest way of treating customer. I would contact him to give you the password. If you purchased the gateway it is your right to have the password to your very own piece of hardware.
If your device is still under warranty I would also ask him to pay you our services. He sold you the box to monitor the PV Output. Since that does not work anymore with Enecsys you can either give the box back or he pays for you our services.
You can pay for our services on: http://www.shareit.com/product.html?productid=300661725&stylefrom=300661725&cookies=1&showcart=1&pc=qolm9
Hi,
My gateway also receives the data of solar panels from my neighbor and some of my panels send the data to my neighbor’s gateway. That could turn out differently every day. Alao the data from my gateway are not representative for my solar installation. Is there any way that my gateway only data of all own solar panels can receive?
Only then your service or software is useful for me.
aha
From next week paying customer will be able to create virtual gateways and assign any panels to them. That will then solve that issue.
What if my neighbor does not plan to participate? How do you become the data of my panels that connect with my neighbor’s gateway? And if I want to use the locally installed monitoring and do not want to work in the cloud, how do I get that data?
If your neighbor does not participate we have no chance to get your panels in our system. But your neighbor could either switch his gateway off and all his panels go via your gateway or you purchase two licenses.
If you want to install the software on your own hardware then you need to make his gateway talking to your network. For example via VPN.
Hi, Now the data monitor web site of Enecsys don’t work correctly: data wrong, and I can see only 2-3 inveters of mine 12 (but they work fine). Whit yours system I can see every inverter like the Enecsys monitoring?
Many Thanks
Hello,
thank you very much for the kind words. Please note that this is a commercial service and unlicensed gateways will be locked out after a couple of days testing. So please do not forget to purchase the cloud subscription on: http://www.dataservices.solar/?page_id=104
good morning
I am an end user
In 2013 I purchased a 6 kw photovoltaic system with 24 panels and 12 inverters mirco Enexys
Today, with the failure of Enexys I no longer manage all the data of the plant.
It seems to me that you have developed a system for the data management system, which applied to annual rent in facility like mine for data management?
You can sell the software to install on my PC and operate the plant in my LAN.
I look forward to a welcome your feedback
greetings
Hello,
thank you very much for your system. We sell the software itself only to PV Installers who want to manage their clients systems.
Private people have to use our cloud service.
Hi to all, anyone know the user and password, for enecsys gateway Gen2.
To reconfigure to use the Aloha monitoring system, because enecsys monitoring not work anymore.
Please note that for the GEN II the Username/Password was never implemented correctly but there are other ways to get access.
Currently we support ONLY Gen I. Support for Gen II might start in approx. 2 weeks.
